Growing up in the suburbs of Washington, DC, Andrew took advantage of the thriving DC and Baltimore music scenes and by the late '00s was keeping busy performing in a variety of genres, including jazz, reggae, blues, classic rock, funk, and more. As a result of his versatility and professionalism, it wasn't long before Andrew found himself traveling the country and performing at some of the biggest clubs on the east coast.

In 2009 at only 20 years old Andrew traveled to Austin, TX to perform at SXSW with Claudius Linton, a founder of Jamaican roots reggae. In 2010 he became a member of the legendary DC ska/soul band The Pietasters and perfomed at venues such as The 9:30 Club (DC), Irving Plaza (NYC), Toad's Place (New Haven), and The Masquerade (Atlanta), and in 2011 he graduated from The New School For Jazz & Contemporary Music with a bachelor's degree in jazz performance. From 2022 to 2025 Andrew was a member of Pokey LaFarge's band, regularly touring North America, the UK, and Europe.

Andrew has also toured with some of the greatest names in the blues world today such as Kim Wilson, Junior Watson, Rusty Zinn, Mitch Kashmar, & Rick Estrin & the Nightcats, as well as Nashville americana stalwarts Miss Tess & the Talkbacks, NYC blues & rock 'n' roll band Brad Vickers & His Vestapolitans, and others.

Based on his almost 20 years of teaching experience, in 2022 Andrew wrote "Offbeats & Backbeats", a drum instruction book containing exercises and practical tips for beginning and intermediate drummers.

In 2023 Andrew relocated to the Philadelphia area and remains a fixture of the local music scene, regularly performing and collaborating with a who's who of local talent while also mentoring and teaching musicians of all levels and age groups.
